Arrival By tram The S1 from Meißen via Dresden/Heidenau/Pirna in the direction of Bad Schandau/Schöna stops at Stadt Wehlen and Rathen. From there, everything is easily accessible on foot. The ferry in Stadt Wehlen belongs to the Verkehrs Verbund Oberelbe transport association. The Rathen ferry is privately owned. From Pirna, the regional railway to Neustadt stops at Lohmen. A relaxing and healthy arrival. To the left of the Elbe the Elbe cycle path takes you from Dresden all the way to Königstein. To the right of the Elbe the path takes you from Pirna to Rathen – and from Königstein to Bad Schandau. (The section between Rathen and Königstein is only suitable for experienced mountain bikers.) By bus Regional bus 243 from Pirna to Weißig n. Thürmsdorf, then on foot down the hill to Rathen.
